My Stutter Made His Point

As a musician and speaker, I'm currently on the line-up of a two day conference called The Revolve Tour. This year's theme is "Dream On" and it's wonderful how it worked out as it's always been one of my dreams to be on Revolve. I have the wonderful opportunity to use my story as a way to encourage young people to trust God to give you big dreams even when stuff happens in our lives that we can't control. Particularly with having a condition called Tourette Syndrome that is ironically a disorder causing uncontrollable movements and sounds.

Anyway... this weekend was Phoenix, AZ. I was pretty excited (I really just love my job haha) for Saturday when I would share my story. So, I got on stage... and I started. But then... I stopped.

About halfway through my story I started to say "uh uh" which is one of my twitches. It sounds something like a sneeze or like I'm trying to get someone's attention but is much more annoying than those because I literally can't stop it. I kept doing this which triggered my hands clenching and before I knew it I completely stopped, stared at the ground and said, "I'm sorry."

This happened a few more times throughout my message and while I know it didn't last too long it felt like a lifetime. I was humiliated, frustrated and confused. This had never happened on stage at Revolve before but the cat was out of the bag now and I had to sit through the rest of the weekend knowing my condition had showed up while I had a story to share.

Long story short... I believe this weekend was the best so far at Revolve for my story. It took me late Saturday night to realize it, but I heard it throughout the day... people shared with me that it isn't how I hold myself together or whatever when I speak that speaks to the girls. It was when they actually saw who I am that made a large impact on their lives. It was when they saw that yes, I had this thing in my life that I couldn't control but I still persevered, that proved that it's a daily exercise toward trusting God. (Did I phrase that sentence right? ...Probably not.)

I wanted to take this little blog post to just send some encouragement your way... Whether with school, family, illness, life, death... we've all got that stuff that shows up in our lives that we have no control over. Sometimes it even shows up/happens when we're doing the right thing! It's painful, it's frustrating it's annoying and random, but there's is a constant: and that's God. The things I had to say this weekend had nothing to do with me but everything to do with a God who had a message for me: No matter what He's got my back and isn't gonna let me go. Ironically, that's exactly what I share on Saturdays.

So in the long run, don't stray from God when the mess in our lives seems like to much. You never know when He's using that to build, mold and develop your testimony...

Even though I didn't understand it at first, in the end of it all God did a work in me that reminded me of the very thing I share with my peers. He taught me that I will have to go through things that I cannot stop but it's all about my recovery and the trust that I put Him in. Ultimately, I'm grateful for this weekend. Partially because it technically felt better physically to not hold back my tics but ultimately because God's word was the most important thing and I'm OK with the fact that my stutter made His point.

Wu Chi Pi Fan

Wu Chi Pi Fan, Is a phrase that is used on the movie "The Karate Kid," It's what Jaden Smith told the girl when he said "too much of something is not good for you." I've kind of been wondering that lately for one reason. Chick-fil-A!!!!!! I went yesterday twice! Let me just break it down for you. I'll start with two Fridays ago I had it. Then again that Saturday, also twice the following Monday and twice Tuesday right after. Also Wednesday lunch followed by a Thursday lunch. Saturday breakfast of course was the famous chicken biscuit along with Lunch and midnight Chick-fil-A yesterday. I Know this seems expensive but some one gave me 55 coupons for my birthday and it's my favorite place to eat. What doesn't help? The fact that ACC is really close to the first original Dwarf House where the Chick-fil-A sandwich was first served. Along with that it's opened 24 hours a day 6 days a week. So it's pretty awesome. Not gonna lie I will have a chicken sandwich for lunch so don't judge me! Also a lot of people have been talking about there being no Chick-fil-A close to the new college. Funny thing about that is that it's not true because I went to to the Grand opening of one right down the road in December. It's nice to know that we will still have one close by even though it will not be open 24 hours a day. I know this a totally random and not beneficial, but I'm okay with that. Cause Chick-fil-A is just that ballin! My next blog will be better!

Mike!

Weekend Fun

Hey Guys!
So, this past weekend was really crazy. Saturday a bunch of us went to West Point and toured the campus and the new apartments (which are really nice by the way). We spent pretty much all day there. We saw the football field, the baseball field, the basketball courts, the future soccer fields, and the pool. We also went to the West Point Lake which is the 2nd largest man made lake in the country! I am really excited about the move and so are the people of West Point.
Sunday, I went to a Tobymac concert where our very own Jamie-Grace Harper was the opening act. The concert was awesome. Brandon Heath was there and House of Heroes were there as well. We had a really good time and now I am just trying to recover from all of the activities and the lack of sleep. The recovery process is taking a while but that is part of what college is about...staying out late, not sleeping, and then still having to go to class the next day.

My First Blog

well, im not sure how this is supposed to go but im going to give it a try! Life here at ACC is pretty much normal. like for instance, this week im going to go to calss like i normally do but tomorrow im getting a test back in a class that i didnt really study for. im kinda nervous because i really need to make a good grade in this class because im trying to get hope. but thursdays are really the days i dread! i have class literally all day from 8 untill 4. I HATE THURSDAYS lol. but i get through it! this week is going to be crazy in choir because we have a concert this sunday and i havent really started to memorize my music. haha maybe i need to get on that. but something i do have to look forward to is GCYC this weekend with my youth group! so maybe this will make my week go faster because im looking forward to going. well look out for my next blog hopefully it will be a video blog!!

Airplane to ATL

I spent 5 hours sitting in the Indiana airport yesterday.

Airports are very intriguing places. While I observed all of the very interesting people hurrying past me with their luggage to get to where they needed to be (ya know, the obnoxious business men who don't get off their phone and the poor mom with 3 kids trying to get them all controlled and on a plane), I began to think about how ACC is the reason why I myself was about to get on a plane. Not just because I was heading back to ATL, but b/c I had been in Indy working with the missionary organization that was sending me back to England. I am working now with CMF b/c of Natalie Braden (ACC alum) who mentored me my freshman year here at ACC and who pushed me to see what God can do if ya just say "here I am." Looks like ACC is the reason why I am moving back over the pond, and I can't think of anything better.

Now, I am not one to be cheesy or anything, but I really am amazed at what has happened over these past five years (don't hate... being a fifth year senior is way better than it sounds). It is better than anything I could have planned for myself. And with that, the graduation countdown begins... after today, only 53 more school days till I say goodbye to good ole ACC. Unfortunatley that probabaly means I will be very nostalgic in my posts... but nostaligia is good for the soul.

So I leave you as Dr. Donovan does his class "be warm and filled." (Now I am not quite sure what that implies, but I just hope that one day when I am a crazy old lady I will be rememberd for the thought provokingly nostalgic things I say too ;))

Till then, xo-k

I not good at blogging.

Hey guys, sooo as you can tell I have blogged twice and haven't told y'all anything about myself... So here are the basics...

1) I play baseball
2) I go to ACC (soon to be Point University)
3) I am Tall Dark and Handsome.
4) I am funny and cute as you can tell
5) I am a sophomore
6) I am biblical studies major and minor in youth ministry
7) I am Humble.

So just a little about me...
I'm out. G

Take 2

So this week was one of my busiest, I had two tests, four games in two days, and I had work. Well the games went well-we won 3 out of 4 beating Berry twice--bad. As you can tell I left the tests for last. Proud to say I passed one without studying but the other one wasn't to hot.

Tomorrow the baseball team and some other students are going to west point to see our new campus-to-be in two years. It should be exciting. I know we (the baseball team) will make it fun. I am going to record some of it, so who knows -- it might be on facebook (so check it out).

That's all for this week kinda boring I know. Next time well be more excitement! I will be blogging on...Idk yet.

Im out. G
Hey Everyone!!

My name is Tyler and I am a junior here at ACC. I am very excited because this is my first blog...Ever!!! This is my second semester at ACC and I love it here; I am so happy that God led me to this school. So, earlier this month we found at that ACC is 1. being renamed Point Universtiy and 2. that the school is moving its traditional campus to West Point, Ga!! I just have to say that I am so happy and excited about the move and I cannot wait. We are going to have more sports options and more major options which will, Lord willing, help us to grow our community. I will keep you guys posted on what's going on in the process and I hope that you are just as excited as me if not more!

Good Morning, Blog. It's Friday.

I'm not one of those people who's all, "Oh, Mondays suck. I'm so glad it's Friday." I knew a girl in high school who regularly exclaimed, "TGIF!" as if the rest of us should know what that meant (I had to google it) (is Google capitalized when it's a verb? Or does it sill count as a proper noun?).

And but so it's Friday and I must admit I'm happy about it.

Reasons I am Happy, A List
1. I'm going home without cleaning my dorm room. Yes, I'm avoiding the mess for at least the weekend. I'll clean on Sunday. Promise.
2. I finished two reflection papers and a book review with a total of 2,500 words. And I don't have another essay due until next Thursday!
3. This is not a good reason to be happy. Do as I say, not as I do. Behavior of this kind may result in cramps and failure. In rare instances, some people experienced nausea and rapid heart beat. I skipped class last night to be with a friend. And it. Was. Awesome. We haven't caught up lately and she needed to talk so I weighed my decisions and left class half-way through. I don't regret it. But you should NEVER skip class. Going to class is important. I promise.
4. Hello, uncharacteristically February weather. Please, come and stay for a while. Until June, you say? That's totally fine. Make yourself at home.
5. Making decisions, good or bad, really, is an important part of growing up and one I'm learning more about. Daily. I'm learning more about them daily.

I couldn't possibly stay inside to write a longer blog. I've got to skip town; get the heck out of Dodge. It's been real, and I plan to post a blog of substance soon, but, really. Who wants substance when the possibility for joy awaits us right outside? I'm going home.

ACC over Coffee

Today was my very first time being involved in ACC over Coffee. I got the chance to meet so many new faces while there. Though I was there to show the prospective students around along with their families, I got the chance to learn more about them then anything. It was interesting to see that there were a lot of people that are home schooled and they had the most excitement for college and knew what they wanted to do, and then there were the ones that actually are in high school but still unsure of what it was they wanted to pursue. I was nervous when I learned that I would be the person giving the tour to about 30 people it actually felt like 100 and to make it even worse, I was doing it by myself. Good thing Gerardo, Morgan, and Shali came along for the support.
There were so many people some who talked and others that didn't say anything it was a very diverse type of group from home schooled seniors to soccer players down to the musicians. It was definitely a new experience for me, but it turned out great. I met so many new people along the way. One of the girls that I met was Chelsea (don't know if I spelled it right) and she was one the most down to earth person that I talked to. We talked about where she was from and where she's grown up, and amazingly enough there were some similarities. What surprised me was the fact that she was so young and involved with college already at the age of 17, and already excited about coming to the school. We closed out the day with lunch and more conversation with other students (shout out to Laurie and her mom Lynn). I can say for the most part that this was a very fun experience for me and I can't wait for the next one!

Ski Trip 2011

On Monday I went skiing with 8 friends from ACC. Rebekah, Josh, Joseph, Ben, Shernay, Emma, Casey, Shaundre and I left school at 4 am and then traveled 41/2 hours to Wolf Ridge Mountain in North Carolina. It was 60 degrees. The perfect skiing weather! We skied and snowboarded all day long. I'm pretty good at skiing and by that I mean I fly down the mountain unable to stop, but I can stay on my feet!
I let Joseph, Ben, Josh, and Rebekah convince me to go up to the top of the mountain. Powder Hill was the worst. It was one of those you better turn right or you're flying off the side of the mountain deals. I couldn't even see down the hill it was so steep, so I slid down on my butt! One time I went down the left slope at the top of the mountain and I was going so fast that when I went over a little hill I caught air! Joseph said I started flailing and I slid down the mountain backwards. I wiped out a lot!

My favorite was the beginners' slope. I flew down the hill and would raise my arms in the air. I know it's cheesy, but I felt like I was flying.
At the end of the day we were exhausted. I twisted my knee and have huge bruises, but it was totally worth it. Four of us ended up with sunburn or windburn. We're not sure which. Because he was wearing goggles, Ben was burned just on the tip of his nose! That night we stopped at Cracker Barrel..AMAZING!! and then drove back. We got back around 11. It was such a long day and I'm still sore, but we had an incredible time!
Can't wait 'til Ski Trip 2012!

A Bright Future

As you all have hopefully heard by now, our college is on the move from East Point to West Point Georgia. Considering the fact that we will no longer be in Atlanta, the name is changing to Point University! I think it is catchy :) As Christians, we "point" to the cross...I LOVE IT!

I am personally VERY thrilled to see what God has in store for this University! This campus move will finally allow us to grow and expand (like we have been trying to do for a while). This wonderful campus in East Point is just not large enough for all of the present and future amazing, dedicated, Christian students. I have been hearing many great things from the students, faculty, and staff around campus concerning the "move." We are all very much excited and anxious! It is going to be hard to wait any longer! The new sports teams, swimming pool, football frields, classroom buildings, APARTMENTS, soccer fields, degrees/programs, etc are crying out our names! God is going to explode over the city of West Point! I am fortunate to have the privilege of being a student at both campus's. Considering the fact that I am only a Sophomore, I get to experience the best of both worlds. My college experience keeps getting better and better. I'm not going to lie...I am most excited about the awesome new apartments in which I will reside! :) Life is just filled with surprises and excitement.

I am Point University!

And A Happy February to You :)

As one of the freshmen girl's "CLM's" or "RA's," I started a monthly newsletter. I debated whether I would post it or not but I figure the world broadcasts what they're doin so why I shouldn't I say that I'm not? ...Happy readin!

----start

I could use words like “purity” and “patience” - they’re wonderful words but I’ll take this time to blunt. It’s not popular to wait until you’re married to have sex. So it’s quite obvious it’s even less popular to sing about waiting for the guy God has for you.

Nonetheless, multi-award winning singer-songwriter Rebecca St. James didn’t necessarily care about what was “in” and sang about it anyway. She made her way into the hearts and tape players of many families in 2000 with her hit song, “Wait For Me.” The lyrics quickly became somewhat of an anthem for girls who were also waiting. It also inspired more songs of purity like Barlow Girl’s “Average Girl” and has swooned along with “movements” like “True Love Waits.”

“...If we cheat in this whole situation, we’re sacrificing something incredibly beautiful in marriage. You pay now or you pay later. If you sacrifice for some of the physical enjoyment on the front end, you pay incredible dividends on the other end.

I’ve waited so long for my prince and then to have found the man of my dreams. He’s literally the perfect man for me. So while it feels somewhat surreal, it feels very real on another level and very right and peaceful...”

-Rebecca St. James

On the other end of the spectrum many people looked down on St. James as she approached 30. Blogs and conversations said... “Will she ever get married?” and “Is she still waiting?” And the answer... yes. She is getting married and is proud to say in every interview that she waited and is glad she did.

----end

Another reason I hesitated to share that is because it may come across as "Oh, there's that preacher's kid talkin about purity..." but let's take a stand, yo! As I said, movies, music, TV shows and 4-word punch lines broadcast sex. The world is tellin us they're doin it but barely anybody is saying they're not...

...Maybe we're afraid of being perceived as outsiders or too radical? I mean I'm not saying you have to shout it from a rooftop haha but waiting is not popular these days and it's not going to get any more popular if those of us who are waiting continue to sit back and not take a stand for what's important.

I guess the best way to close is by sharing one of my favorite stories ever! It's from the Oprah Winfrey Show (barely watch it...) and I actually shared it in a video when I was 17, two years back. You can click here to watch if you want or you can read my paraphrase below...

"I don't know much background on what kind of people they were and I don't want to say the wrong thing. So I'll be really stereotypical and hopfully you get it. They were accused of being polygamists, the kids were put into foster care in Texas and stuff. A lot of people notice them because of the long dresses, the boots, no make-up, no earrings, they don't watch TV. All that stuff. My Faith isn't the same as theirs and I disagree with a lot of the things they practice but there was this one girl Oprah was interviewing. She was 17 and Oprah was asking her things about dating.

It's kind of weird because I'm currently wearing jeans I have on make-up and earrings and a neck tie haha so obviously I'm not on the same level of morals and standards as these girls. However, I loved what they had to say.

It came down to a 17 year old girl... a girl my age... saying, 'When I stand at the alter, I want to be able to say 'I do' and not 'I did.''

Peace, love and Jamie-Grace

West Point!!!

Hey there!
I am Shali McCampbell and a freshman here at Atlanta Christian College! I absolutely love it here!!! I made the decision to go here because I wanted to be around people who would build me up and not tear me down! I wanted to be Shali not a number in a basic class of 100 people. As this semester was starting we were told the ACC Will longer be ACC but it will be Point University!!! Instead of being in East Point we are not moving to West Point! I was so excited to hear the news! It will be amazing to have new athletics such as football and swimming!!!! We are also getting new majors! Thats super exciting because it will allow more people to come and have a wider selection to choose from! I believe that God has amazing things in store for Point University!!!

HEy

Hey Finally got on here be ready for my life story... Wait for some stories better than Jgrace :)

The Big 3 coming up!!!!!!

So today is my birthday, not gonna lie I feel no difference. I also feel like it's horrible timing for a birthday. I mean we just announced how our college is moving like 60 miles away and no one is focused on my birthday. But that's not as true as I thought. Apparently a lot of the professor's and staff here at ACC and plenty of students know it's my birthday. It really makes me feel loved. But anyways, if anyone knows me they know what I love. There's just a few things that I really enjoy in life and that's Auburn University, fishing and the game of corn-hole. The great thing about this is the fact that ACC becoming Point University is applying all these things to my future. Auburn, Big War Eagle, is what I hope you just echoed, but we will only be 25 minutes away from there. I don't if you didn't put the dot's together or not but that means Auburn football games on Saturday. Secondly is one thing that it would be hard for me to live with out, fishing! If I was stranded on a Island with just one or two things, it would be a bible and a fishing pole. So West Point means, West Point Lake and the Chattahoochee River. That means a lot of time on the lake. Which also translates to Micheal is very excited. And lastly there's corn-hole. You see the school just ordered a brand new corn-hole set that they are about to paint. See my three favorite things are surely in my future so I'm PUMPED!!!!! So I have to get to class.

WAR EAGLE!!!!

Change is a Good Thing!!

Hey guys!

A few weeks ago I was invited to a top secret meeting with President Collins and 11 other students. I had no idea what was going on. All I knew was there was cookie cake involved, so I was there! Mr. Huxford swore us to secrecy and then President Collins told us everything! For twelve hours I had to keep the most painful secret!

My roommate, and best friend (It is so cool how that works!), Rebekah, wants to major in Social Work. However, ACC doesn't have it, so she has talked about transferring. But that night President Collins announced that ACC is becoming Point University and, among other things, is getting a Social Work Major! I hated not being able to tell her!

I am so excited about the changes happening at ACC! I never thought ACC could get EVEN better, but it is! The name change, the location change, a football team, yes you heard right, A FOOTBALL TEAM, a ginormous sportsplex, beautiful apartments, the river, a lake, downtown life, and a super close Zaxbys! We're getting new majors and more sports! Point University has the perks of a large university while maintaining the small college community (which happens to be the best part of ACC, oops I mean Point University!).

I get to visit West Point, the home of Point University, soon! Can't wait to tell you all about it!

:) Kaitlyn

Monday Night Madness

So, since I no longer have meetings on Monday nights like last semester, Carol (aka my BFF) and I took it upon ourselves to create what we like to call Monday Night Madness. What is Monday Night Madness you ask? Well, at first it started as just a get together for Apt. folk on campus and its mainly just a name given to the awesome parties we throw in my apartment. Our first MNM was a Cheese Dip Fiesta with cheese dip so good it made ya wanna slap your grandma, and last week we had movie night and my roomie Rachel burnt the popcorn. Way to go Rachel ;) MNM's have been so great that its the buzz on campus... no big deal.

Last night was our Pancake Party. Carol, Rachel and I went all out and got all the good stuff and cranked up that Soulja Boi and posted the party as our facebook statuses. Yep, it was epic, and as always, Michael Thompson & Co. came and crashed the party (this has happened more than once). Oh yeah, and we made lactose free pancakes for Raphael b/c we love him so much :) Another successful MNM. Done.

Oh yeah, and if ya don't know, I'm graduating in May, and so other than throwing pancake parties, I have been extremely busy with getting ready to support raise so that I can move to England as an International Campus Minister hopefully in October. It is so scary to know I am about to step into the real world, but to know I am moving to England and about to have my world rocked is super-crazy-exciting at the same time. Till next time, peace.

Introducing the Student Transition Team

It’s official! Atlanta Christian College is becoming Point University (July 2011) and relocating and expanding its primary traditional campus to West Point, Ga. for fall semester 2012.

We all have lots of questions about this, so President Collins has formed a Student Transition Team, led by me (Rebecca E.) and Gerardo M., to serve as key points of contact for us in finding out more information about the whole transition.

The Student Transition Team will be posting updates on the expansion process online through Twitter—using project hashtags #onthemove and #PointUniv—on Facebook and through this blog.

Along with administration officials, the team will host regular town hall-style forums where we’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and get news on everything related to the relocation project. Student Transition Team members will be frequently briefed with first-hand knowledge of “On the Move” happenings and events…so ask away! That’s what we’re here for. If you would like to join the Student Transition Team, please email us at onthemove@acc.edu.

Your Student Transition Team:

Tyler B., Storey B., Jessi B., Rebecca E.*, Austin E., Kaitlyn G., Jason J., Tyler L., Aaron L., Gerardo M.*, Bekah R. and Tory W.

*Team leader

NextLevel

So. Not to ignore the elephant in the room (Hi, elephant!) but I've got bigger news.

Bigger news than the campus moving to WEST POINT, GEORGIA?!?!

Yes. Much bigger.

This weekend, Savannah Christian Church is hosting the NextLevel Leadership Conference and ACC... I mean, Point University.... I mean.... The school I attend brought a group of students and, based entirely on a whim, I signed up to come.

Now, to level with you, I don't see myself as a leader, exactly. I did leadership things in high school, but I went to a small school and most people in my activities (marching band, one act, academics, etc.) eventually became leaders their senior year by default. And I also don't see myself being led into a leadership position in my ministry.

So I wasn't entirely sure what I was meant to get out of this conference but I came, and I tried to keep an open mind.

So far (there's still several more events planned for tomorrow) I've thoroughly enjoyed myself. I went to several workshops today, we had several main worship sessions, and Savannah Christian Church showed us what they do as far as drama and the arts in worship. It's been really instructive, and, even though some of it's gone WAY over my head, I've been able to discuss what's going on with some older students who've had more experience with church leadership than I have.

All in all (I'm back at campus now, and fairly well exhausted) I'm glad I went. I took pages and pages of notes and feel very enthusiastic about applying all I've learned.

I guess that wasn't bigger than the campus moving. Let's just focus on that, shall we? :D

Change is in the air.

You may or may not have heard, but big things are happening here at ACC. And by "big" I am not referring to eggplant parmasian that the cafeteria started serving (It is so delicious!)

We are relocating the main campus from East Point to West Point - just about an hour away! I know, crazy. We're also changing the name of the school to Point University (our mascot is still the Chargers though, no worries!)

As you can imagine, it's a lot of information to share, but here are just a few things:

- We're going to add some cool sports (football, softball, track and field, etc)
- It'll be right in downtown West Point which has so much character.
- It'll also be by a lake which means plenty of study breaks to swim, kayak and go canoeing!

So as you can imagine, student life is going to be even more amazing than it already is!

I am part of a Student Transition Team that got to visit the campus Monday and here is a video documenting our adventure (to give you an idea)

Student Transition Team visits West Point from Point University on Vimeo.

Also, check out PointUniversity.org - it's a microsite with some info and picutres about the new name and location. It's going to be awesome!

So, while life at ACC is still exciting and wonderful, I am beyond thrilled to see how life at West Point and with the new Name continues to grow and expand.

GET PUMPED, PEOPLE!

Back in the Groove

So School Is BACK!

Am I happy about this: Yes
Am I still happy about this: Yes
Am I going to be happy about this in the near future: eh Maybe.....YES

I am so glad to get back to having a schedule and I am EXTRA glad to be reunited with my favorite roommates! My classes are a little bit easier this semester. All week, my classes don't begin before 10 or 11 a.m (awesome) and I have NO classes on Friday's! How awesome is that!?? The new students that came in this Spring semester are pretty cool and are finally getting into the feel of things around here. The campus is back to being filled with laughter in the hallways.
As for me, I am back to my terrible sleeping schedule but still having the time of my life!

ACC fun and exciting events: "Vintage Love" dance, Thrashers game, Open Mic night, Roller skating rink...along with many other events. It's good to have events sprinkled into your schedule. Without them, I don't know how I would survive.

Well, I am glad I got to share with you my random thoughts for today. I am glad that school is back in session and that we are not covered with snow and ice anymore. Cheers to a new semester and meeting new students!

So much traveling..So little time!!

Hey Lovelies!!

Today is February 1, 2011!! CRAZY right?!? Right! So life has been crazy since I last updated! I've laughed, I've cried, I've been so busy it's unreal! Besides starting outreach, we traveled to LONDON!! (: It was so amazing to see all the buildings you see in movies and pictures but you don't know how beautiful they are until you actually see them! We saw Big Ben (and that was on my bucket list!) the London Eye, Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Westminister Abbey (Where the Prince will marry Kate) The British Library, The British Museum, rode the Underground, shopped (didn't end up buying ANYTHING!), and a million other things that I just can't seem to remember!

Last week- Monday night was Canvas' first church service! (They did such a good job!) after was pubquiz (I always feel so dumb after these) then the little team went out together and played some pool and had a good time! (even at my expense from falling flat on my face from try to walk. HA!) Tuesday night- TC's (Always fun) Wednesday- it was good, then really bad, then good again...( A wave of homesick hit me) Thursday I had coffee with a friend and then went to trivia night at Canvas (SO much fun!) Friday- I had a quiet night in and it was a great way to end such a busy week!

The weekend- The little team went to Oxford! Such a great trip! We saw where Harry Potter and Alice and Wonderland was filmed, and we saw Eagle and Child which is where C.S. Lewis use to hang out. We saw the Mary Shelley exhibit and the Museum of Natural History. we shopped, (This time I bought stuff!) and stayed in a hostel, and made plenty of memories! It was such fun, but I was so glad to be home in my own bed!

This week is still to be determined but so far so good! For now, I have to go get groceries, and head to the Canvas house to help cook for TC's tonight!! Can't wait!! Until Next time!
